The net and its height are critical in making the game thrilling. Coaches need to have perfect knowledge of net heights to follow the rules and regulations of the game. Just putting up a net of any measurement does not serve any purpose. Yes, you can have a good recreation. Competitive volleyball is a different level. Mens volleyball net regulations play a critical role in that.

The volleyball net height basis is gender, age, abilities. Mens volleyball net regulations specify the official net heights to be 7 feet, 11 5/8 inches, measured from the net center. Net measurements at the ends must be the same. Do not have it slanting. Applicable to the indoor, outdoor, and disabled. The age group is from 15 years to 54 years. Fifty-four years and above mens volleyball net regulations are 7 feet, 9 5/8 inches. Seventy years and above its 7 feet, 6 inches. The net height at ends or sides needs to be not more than ¾ inches of the regulation height.

Measurement is key. Mens volleyball net regulations lay down specific points to ensure no mistakes occur during net measurements. The tool net chain finds use to measure the net height. Ensure measure from the center of the net. It’s clipped to the top of the net. The net chain should not swing but remain steady. The volleyball net at the sidelines needs to be of the same measurement. Net height should never exceed the regulated official measure by ¾ inches. For beach volleyball, the net height measures from the sand raked level. The sand raked level applies because the beach volleyball court can be uneven. In outdoor volleyball, the net height measures from ground level. Many make the mistake of measuring the net measurement from the grass blades level.

The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) is the most popular, largest, and longest professional tour in the United States. It started in 1983 and has grown since then. The Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) is the most popular in the world. It commenced in 1987 and has given many legends in the game.

Mens volleyball net regulations measurements are strict. For practice purposes, increase the net height by a few inches and see the difference it makes to your game. You push to the next level. The vertical jump movement improves leaps and bounds. Aim long instead of straight down. The net height increase certainly helps in improving your game. The game from back corners will improve due to practice with increased net height. Remember being tall does not make you a good player. The best players are not the tallest.
